Who represents you, and what have they done?
PublicOffice.ng is a public record of who holds office in Nigeria — from the Senate to your local government council — and of what they do in office. Every claim on it carries a source you can open and check yourself.
What we have documented so far
Akwa Ibom in full, from the Governor to all 31 council chairmen and their vice chairmen, and the National Assembly for every state: all 109 senators and all 360 members of the House of Representatives.
What is not documented yet
The rest of each state — governors, commissioners, assemblies and councils. That is slow, careful work, and we do it one state at a time. Join the waitlist and we will tell you when we reach yours.
Why we ask for more than an email
Which states people are waiting in decides which state we document next, and knowing who is waiting — a journalist, a researcher, someone checking their own representative — helps us make the case for the funding that pays for the work. Only your email and your state are required.
What we will and will not send
One email, when your state is documented. No newsletter, no marketing, and your address is never passed to anyone else.
What we do with what you tell us
We store your email address and the state you chose, and the name, role and one-line answer if you give them. They are visible only to our editors and are never published; the only thing shown publicly is how many people have joined. We may quote an answer when we explain who this is for, never with a name or an address attached.
